Moon Kkang Foreign Language Academy is looking to fill 2 positions at our Hwangguem branch in Daegu, starting early June 2023 (with training before the start date) teaching elementary and middle school students. In-country is preferred but we will consider applications outside of Korea if all documents are ready--or almost ready--to go.

Salary: Monthly salary is based on experience - 2.4/2.5 million won

Working time: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 2:30p-8:45p (six 50 minute classes a day), Wed 2:35p-8:50p

Housing: Furnished apartment or housing allowance provided

Health Insurance: 50/50 contribution for health and pension

Vacation: 2 weeks (1 week off during each of the main Korean holidays of Chuseok and Seollal) with at least 10 extra days off during scheduled academy vacations, plus personal days

Severance: 1 month’s salary provided at the conclusion of the contract

You must be able to meet the following:

• Be a citizen from one of the 7 English-speaking countries recognized by Korea (USA, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia, South Africa, or New Zealand)
• Be eligible for--or currently on--an E2 visa (with a LOR or extension) OR able to switch to one, a D-10 visa, or a working F visa
• Have an apostilled (or notarized for Canada) bachelor’s degree from one of the 7 countries (or meet the qualifications to get a copy from immigration)
• Have an apostilled (or notarized for Canada) federal/national-level background check that’s no more than 6 months old (or meet the qualifications to get a copy from immigration)
• Be able to commit to a one-year contract
