We are seeking a Native English Teacher to join our team! This is a direct hire position.

About Campbell Academy

We are a brand-new English academy located near Jikji Elementary School, Cheongju. We opened in March 2023.

About the job

Openings: 1

Start date: May or June 2023

Location: Cheongju (청주시), Chungbuk province.

Basic salary: 2.5 million won upwards.

Health Insurance and Pension: Contributions are paid every month and split equally between the employer and teacher.

Airfare: one-way flight ticket available.

Severance: Paid on completion of a one-year contract.

Hours: Mondays to Fridays, 1-9pm. Classes average six a day and are 40-50 minutes in length, depending on the age group. Classes are for elementary and middle school (8-16 years) only. Depending on your skillset, you may also have the opportunity to teach speaking (discussion, presentation, debate) or literacy (reading and writing) classes that run approximately 90 minutes in length.

Number of teachers at the school: 2.

Housing: a furnished apartment close to the school will be provided.

Holidays: 15 days of paid vacation in the summer and winter, plus red days.

Requirements

• You are a native English speaker from either the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa.
• You hold a bachelor’s degree – preferably in English, Science or Education – or higher.
• You are currently in South Korea (desirable). If you are not, then you should have your documents ready to be processed for an E2 visa immediately, as the start date is ASAP.
• You have demonstrative experience teaching English as a Second Language and/or experience in collaborating with elementary/middle school students to improve their English skills.
• You can show positivity, flexibility, resourcefulness, and flair in your teaching and attitude, and demonstrate this during the Interview process.
• You have familiarity in lesson planning and making educational content.
