We are looking for native English teachers for our 10-week summer school programme in Regent’s Park from 19th June 2023 AND we are looking for more Directors of Studies (below teacher).

You must have the right to work in the UK. You must have you own accommodation. You should have safeguarding (England and Wales) training and an up to date DBS. You should have at least two years TEFL experience.

1. Teacher

Job Description
Our English (EFL) teachers run the summer programme which includes 15hrs of English, two afternoon excursions and three activity afternoons per week. Our timetable is Monday - Friday and some Saturday excursions on a rota (£100 extra). Working hours are from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Lessons start at 9:00 am. There are 4 1.5hr periods during the day with lessons finishing at 4:30 pm. You will have 2 planning periods off per week. Max class size is 15 students. Hot lunch, coffee and fruit are included.

Qualifications
PGCE or DELTA qualifications will greatly help your application as will experience teaching young learners aged 5-17.

Salary and Benefits

2. Director of Studies

Junior English Summer School in London

Details of Position

SKOLA is recruiting a Summer School Director of Studies. The Director of Studies will lead a team of teachers and activity leaders to deliver our 10-week summer school programme in Regent’s Park from 19th June 2023.

We are looking for a highly skilled manager with an excellent knowledge of languages. They should be kind, open to new ideas and have an adventurous spirit. They will lead behaviour in the school and model our three rules: ready, kind and safe.

You will lead induction for the team with the Director of Studies and be familiar with British Council inspection criteria. You will help our teachers deliver excellent lessons by ensuring lessons are well planned, teachers use effective pedagogy, and a wide range of resources are used.

The role is Monday to Friday and some Saturdays. Working hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm to cover the 9:00am to 4:30pm timetable. You may need to provide cover for any morning EFL classes and plan and deliver our on-site afternoon activity and excursion programme.

Candidates should understand their strengths within a team, and have a good knowledge of different international cultural norms. English speakers at a native level are preferred.

Qualifications & Experience

At least 3 years teaching experience, and Degree & DELTA (Cambridge DELTA, Cambridge DELTA Online, Trinity DipTESOL)

Salary and Benefits

£700 - £750 per week
