Online ESL Teaching Position Information

Carrot Global is one of the leading language instruction companies based in South Korea. We are in need of additional full and part time instructors to teach ENGLISH by video and phone to students based in Seoul, Korea.

POSITION INFORMATION:

~ Teaching conversational and business English to adults and some juniors

~ Teaching time per student: 10, 15, 20, 30 minute classes, with occasional 40-60 minute classes

~ Flexible hours. Teachers can choose the teaching hours that work for their schedule, including split shifts between morning and evening

~ Our biggest demand for teachers is during the following hours: Monday ~ Friday 6:00 am–12:00 pm EST and Sunday ~ Thursday 5:00 pm–11:00 pm EST

~ Shifts are also available Friday & Saturday: 5:00 am–11:00 am EST & 5:00 pm–12:30 pm EST

~ Pay rate is USD 11 – 17 / hr, depending on qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

~ Bachelor’s degree or higher required

~ Able to commit to work at least 20 hours / week during our peak hours

~ Quiet area to work

~ Windows-based or Mac computer with at least 2 GB of RAM

~ Connected with ethernet cable (no wireless connection)*

~ Internet speed with a download speed of at least 25 Mbps*

~ Proficiency with computers and internet

~ Cellular phone with a data plan (needed for emergency use)

~ Headset with a microphone

~ Good quality webcam

~ Consistent availability during our peak demand times

~ Teaching experience (preferred but not required)

~ TESL certificate or equivalent (preferred but not required)

~ English speakers who can also teach Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, French, German or Russian are preferred and encouraged to apply
